UK Films at the 2009 Newport Beach Film Festival

From Charles Chaplin's The Circus (1928) to Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire (2008), the exhibit A Cavalcade of British Oscar® Winners celebrates eight decades of almost 370 British individuals who have received the coveted Academy Award® in virtually every category, including the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award presented to Alfred Hitchcock and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award bestowed upon Audrey Hepburn, Bob Hope and Elizabeth Taylor.

Created by the team of Arnold Schwartzman (Oscar® winning documentary producer/director and Royal Designer) and his wife Isolde, the exhibit was made possible with the generous support of Charles S. Cohen, Owner/CEO of the Pacific Design Center.

The exhibit is on view at the Pacific Design Center in the First Floor Green Lobby from May 29 through July 3, 2009. Hours are 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday. Pacific Design Center is located at 8687 Melrose Avenue, between La Cienega and San Vicente; parking is located on Melrose and PDC offers complimentary valet for the self-park cost (First 20 minutes free, $1.50 per 15 minutes thereafter up to maximum of $13.50).
