Designing a Better Tomorrow
Christopher Guy Reception, Design Showcase & Silent Auction Benefiting LA's BEST
Award-winning British luxury furniture designer Christopher Guy is renowned for his sophisticated fusing of classicism with modernism. He opened a sumptuous 2400 square foot design showroom in Beverly Hills in October 2009, and within three months was called creator of 'Head-Turning' furniture and selected by a leading national magazine as the Best of Los Angeles for 2010. On Thursday, April 29th, the flagship showroom in Beverly Hills will host a unique event fusing design with community outreach to benefit the after school programs of LA’s BEST After School Enrichment Program.
The exclusive event will feature designs by children from Crescent Heights Elementary School, who will participate in a Designers of Tomorrow workshop inspired by the work of Christopher Guy. The top three student designs will be displayed at the Reception, where the Grand Prize winner will be announced.
Christopher Guy has contributed three incredible furniture art pieces (pictured above) valued at $15,000 for a special Silent Auction to be held during the evening. This event is by invitation only. For further information or to be added to the guest list, please contact Harmonie Krieger.
Christopher Guy will graciously donate 10% of all sales proceeds from the Beverly Hills showroom during BritWeek 2010 to LA's BEST.
