As a prelude to the Young Entrepreneurs Who Are Changing the Face of the World Conference in September 2010, an exclusive Luncheon will take place on May 4th commencing at 12 Noon. The interactive Round Table Luncheon will address the subject of “Doing Business in a Global Economy” with specific reference to the UK, US, China, India and Central and South America.

Vijay Nair, who is based in Mumbai, received the prestigious British Council International Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009, making him the first Indian to achieve this feat. He was profiled in “India Today”, a leading national magazine, in their Spirit of India feature as a young entrepreneur to watch.
Bill Townsend is a serial entrepreneur who helped launch several leading Internet properties, most notably search engine Lycos, social networking pioneer sixdegrees.com whose intellectual property formed the basis of LinkedIn, and GeoCities (sold to Yahoo!). He is a published author on entrepreneurship, including Harvard Business Review, April 2007. He is chairman of The Amati Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Powered Outcomes.
Stacy Sun, a native of China, is currently the President and CEO of the US Division of a major Chinese manufacturing company. Stacy founded the Asia Pacific-USA Chamber of Commerce, which has served as a forum for establishing relationships between the highest levels of the Chinese government and many corporations. She has been featured in the LA Business Journal, the New York Times, La Opinion, and has been interviewed on China’s Central Television station on a number of occasions. Stacy was named and received an Award as one of the Top 20 Woman in Business by the California State Legislative Office in 2006. She was also named "2007 China Top 10 Caizhi People" which recognizes leaders who contribute greatly to Chinese economic and social development.
Reuven Hayun is one of the owners of La Curacao, the leading chain of hyper-markets serving the Latin community in the United States. Its goods and services range from electronic and music products to furniture and clothing, and includes La Pasito (the Latin version of iTunes). From small beginnings in Los Angeles, La Curacao has grown rapidly and now has a value of well in excess of $1 Billion. It covers the US and Central and South America, and is one of the largest advertisers on Univision.
Fiona Francois is the Consul and Director for the West Coast of the UK Trade & Investment US Network. Based at the British Consulate-General in Los Angeles, Fiona manages the Trade and Investment teams in Los Angeles and San Francisco. These teams advise US companies looking to expand their operations in Europe and support UK companies doing business in the US, focusing on Biopharma, Clean Technology, Financial Services, Aerospace and Creative Industries sectors.
The Invitation-Only Luncheon, sponsored by UK Trade & Investment as part of BritWeek, will be attended by 40 leaders in the business and diplomatic communities as a prelude to the September Conference, which will feature more than 20 leading young entrepreneurs addressing a select group of 150.
