Grammy Award-Winning Artist Seal

Seal CommitmentOver the course of a remarkable career that spans more than two decades, internationally acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Seal has garnered countless accolades and four Grammy Awards. Known for his one-of-a-kind, soaring, husky baritone voice and classic songwriting, he has enjoyed success across numerous genres of music and sold over 15 million albums worldwide.

Poignant and romantic love songs such as Prayer For the Dying, the Grammy Award-winning Kiss From A Rose, Don’t Cry (all from 1994’s Seal II) and Love’s Divine (from 2003’s Seal IV) have delighted fans and earned Seal critical acclaim. He has also seen great success in the dance/pop music world, beginning with his roots in Britain’s house music/rave scene, which featured in his 1991 debut album and again in 2007’s dancefloor-friendly System. In 2008, Seal released Soul, a stunning compilation of classic soul songs delivered with his unique, signature touch. A No. 1 album in France, Soul remained atop the album chart for 13 consecutive weeks.

SealMost recently, Seal reunited with Soul producer, renowned music maestro David Foster, on the new studio album Seal 6: Commitment. Featuring unforgettable melodies that delve into the emotions surrounding love, family and commitment from Seal’s unique, lyrical point of view, this album was inspired by Seal’s own life experience. "Everything about my life is fully committed," he says. "I’ve never felt more focused on the matter at hand: my wife, my children, the family in general, my own well-being, and of course music and my career. Each one of these songs has personal meaning for me. I dug very deep and all I can hope for is that the music strikes a chord with people."

Overtone

OvertoneWith vocal abilities like no other, Overtone is taking America by storm and quickly becoming one of the hottest vocal/pop bands in the country. This amazingly talented group of singers/musicians started as an a cappella group in their native Johannesburg, South Africa in 2006. Success quickly followed with bookings at corporate events, music festivals and a month-long tribute show to the rock legends, Queen.

In 2009, Dina Eastwood saw Overtone in the Queen tribute show in Cape Town, where her husband, actor/director Clint Eastwood was filming Invictus, starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. She was blown away by the ensemble and arranged a private performance for the cast and crew. In short order, Clint asked the band to perform the majority of the Invictus soundtrack.

Overtone has toured the American west with multi-platinum, Grammy winner Corinne Bailey Rae and played the prestigious SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The gifted singers have appeared on The Ellen De Generes Show, The George Lopez Show and The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson; and have been featured in US Weekly, Billboard Magazine and on Delta Airlines’ in-flight program. They have opened twice for multi-platinum artists OneRepublic, played private performances for the legendary Tony Bennett and Academy Award Winner Charlize Theron, and performed the National Anthem at the San Jose Sharks NHL play-off game to 40,000 people.

Overtone has great audience rapport, appeals to all ages, and is highly skilled at choreographed dance. The group was nominated for two of South Africa’s most prestigious music awards, including Best Newcomers and Best Group of the Year for 2009. Members, who range in age from 21-27, sing a cappella in English, Afrikaans and Zulu, and also play bass, guitar, drums and piano and write and record original music. Their repertoire includes close to 100 songs, ranging from traditional Zulu and Afrikaans folk to American pop music. Currently, they are recording Lucky Punks, the follow-up to debut CD Frequency and the Invictus soundtrack, featuring all original compositions.
